Aprokounilag: "There is a spirit inside Jaja Hostel": See students' mixed reviews of the Almighty King Jaja Hall

Hello Everybody, Aprokounilag is here again...

Who no know Jaja Hall In Unilag? There is no need for introductions, it is arguably the best Male Hostel in the University.

I conducted a research and got some students' reviews of the amazing Hostel. Let's check them out!!!

REVIEWS OF KING JAJA OF OPOBO HALL, UNILAG

Osaz
Ignore the outer facade, within this hall as with all others you'll find congested rooms with almost no thought to ventilation, poorly maintained facilities (especially toilets and bathrooms), vermin infestation and structures that reflect a hazy shadow of what they're supposed to do.
Power outages and water shortages are to be expected.
Another evidence of the Nigerian Government's utter contempt and disregard for the education and welfare of future generations.
Irrespective of all this you can be sure that you'll find the resilience of the Nigerian alive within the young men who reside within these walls. They may not be the gentlemen of the Hall's motto but they sure carry the unbreaking spirit of King Jaja of Opobo whom the hall is named after.

Omoyemi
Do u want to enjoy a fun football match well! Just head to jaja hall and immerse yourself in the Jaja Spirit.

Aminat
I don't know the spirit in this hostel that makes Jaja boys shout at every passerby. It's a mood on its own, sometimes they are nice.and not so nice at times. I avoid space.

Emmanuel
One of the male students hostels in the university of Lagos. The Building structure is an archetype of the Babylonian architecture.

 Ayoola
I like the indomie shop in the hall. They sell different types of indomie, ranging from indomie swallow to Chinese noodles to coconut noodles. You should give it a trial.

Bright
The facilities in the hostel are very poor, the rooms are bad and stuffy but there is free Wi-Fi to have access to unlimited internet.

Ayomide
The hostel's toilet is just too dirty, although the workers try hard to clean and also take care of the environment, due to students mischievous attributes, they tend to dirty the place.

Jhoney
Because giving one star would be an insult to the structure. It seems like it was built for gorillas and not students.

Oni
It's my hostel of course! It has a restaurant, a supermarket, and a relaxation centre with free WiFi and a projector screen for football matches. And of course, it has toilets even though not totally clean.

 Idris
Known as the hall of Kings. It is a lovely hostel for males in UNILAG.
This hall is the best bet for students in Engineering and Science. I like this hostel for its spacious Quadrangle.

 Anonymous
A hostel dedicated to the Memory of King Jaja of Opobo in University of Lagos. The building looks beautiful on the outside but is lacking of good facilities. There is need for an urgent improvement on the facilities within the building to enable students live better.

Abdulrahman
King Jaja Hall is considered the biggest male hostel in UNILAG, housing thousands of students every year. It opens it's gate by 5: 00am and closes it at exactly 12: 00am after which no one will be allowed in or out. It is preferred by most students because it is close to important facaulties and lecture places like; faculty of science, Engineering, Law, Arts, DLI. It is usually envied by the occupant of other hostels and a source of pride to its occupants. Enjoy your stay here as an occupant but DO not over stay your time if you are not, because the portals are always on the watch.

Tosin
It's one of the hostel in University of Lagos full of bedbug and so dirty due to the fact that it one of oldest hostel in University.

Emmanuel
It's a nice boy's hostel. The Jaja boys are regarded as the big boys. The Jaja hostel is also regarded as the greatest and oldest hostel and it's dedicated to King Jaja of Opobo.

Ayobami
King jaja hall is an hostel for boys of university of Lagos state akoka.
It is very big and trust me if you tell anyone your hostel is jaja and you are a bonafide, it is either you got it through balloting or as a result of your high CGPA.
It is an hostel for scholars and it has quite interesting places, like jaja reading room, common room (where all football matches are viewed), and kitchen.

Ocheja
King Jaja hall is located at unilag campus close to GT Bank in unilag. It's a male hostel with a lot of facilities needed by students. King Jaja Hall is a very busy hostel with nice view which has clean and neat rest rooms but doesn't have wheelchair accessibility for disabled. I thank the management of unilag should notice and fix it if need be. Just for disabled that love to study in unilag.

Sanya
This is a very popular Male hostel within the University of Lagos and is prone to heavy human traffic most especially during rush hours. There are ample parking space around here and the building itself can be sighted whilst driving by. It is easily accessible too.

Jaja is a really fun hostel to be in, probably one of the best in unilag. I can say this cause I've stayed there for about 3 years, you are likely to meet really fun and interesting people and bound to have a lively experience.

Abdulrahman
Looool I stayed at this hostel and it was bombbbbbbb! The laughs, excitements, discussions with friends and so on? It was delightful! Firstly its close to the major faculties (engineering, sciences, business administration and mass communication) Apart from that there's hardly any dull moment at Jaja because a lot of guys deyyy available to gist and chill w. Also we get to watch football matches and the experience is indescribable. Although the hygiene is a problem, I promise you staying at Jaja hall is definitely a mad, fun filled, splendid experience! You can also get decent food to buy.

John
University of Lagos Boys hostels.claimed to be the best.full of life and bubbles. I stayed there for about 8months. It's a cool place, always be sure of constant running water and light.but be sure to come prepared against the BedBugs.
Very easy to locate. Besides GTBANK and close to the faculty of science.
Iyanuoluwa
Best hostel in Unilag (both male and female). Great architecture. Not the best location but very good environment.

Handsome
It's OK because it's wheelchair accessible, it accommodates a majority of the disabled. But the hall is at this moment in a poor state, the facilities are decaying due to overcrowding.

Now to you, my dear Aproko Reader
What can you say about King Jaja Hall?
